ABOUT EQUAL Founded in 2015, EQUAL is a Singapore-based charity with Institue of Public Character (IPC) status which focuses on transforming lives through animal-assisted services. EQUAL partners with rescued, retired or adopted animals (horses and dogs) to help bring healing and support to children, youths, families, seniors as well as persons with special needs. EQUAL\xe2\x80\x99s programmes seek to empower those whom we serve by enhancing their socio-emotional well-being, self-awareness and relationship management skills through animal-assisted programmes \xe2\x80\x93 developing resilience and strengthening individuals and communities. Our headquaters is in the Thomson area and we also run a programme centre in Enabling Village at Redhill.

ABOUT THE ROLE As EQUAL\xe2\x80\x99s Head of Outreach & Development, you will oversee all aspects of fundraising , donor development , grant-raising, sponsorships, marketing, communications, community events and partnerships to further the work, profile, presence, and outreach of EQUAL. You will lead and manage a small department who will work towards EQUAL\xe2\x80\x99s annual fundraising targets and growth for EQUAL. You will support the EQUAL Board, Fundraising Committee and CEO in developing EQUAL\xe2\x80\x99s fundraising strategy, plan and lead the execution of fundraising events and campaigns with a strong marketing plan and contribute to the development and management of EQUAL\xe2\x80\x99s donor pipeline to enable the growth and reach of EQUAL. Overseeing donor development, you will regularly review and maintain a high-level of engagement with our donors and supporters, as well as engage new ones. You will also look into grant-raising by proactively reaching out to various corporations, foundation and government agencies. The Outreach & Development department also looks at EQUAL\xe2\x80\x99s branding, marketing materials, social media and media engagements. You will take the lead in raising the brand awareness and social media presence of EQUAL through strategic marketing efforts and a robust digital communication plan which helps EQUAL to reach different target segments. You will oversee partnerships, sponsorships and community engagements including working with corporates and partners for events, and doing outreach in the community to share more about the unique work EQUAL is doing. You will help plan strategically for the future of EQUAL in terms of funding and marketing, while relooking at our current structures, systems and practices for operational effectiveness. You will oversee budget planning, implementation and post-evaluation of all Outreach and Development events and activities. You will report to the CEO and you will be part of EQUAL\xe2\x80\x99s leadership team looking into the strategic, sustainable and scalable growth of the organisation. You are required to be hands-on and you will lead and coach a department consisting of Fundraising and Marketing colleagues. As part of the EQUAL leadership team, you will contribute towards building a high-performing organisation, a great workplace and fun and positive work culture for the organisation. You may also be required to work on other areas and projects as assigned by the Board and Management. ROLE REQUIREMENTS Preferred Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience in fundraising and donor development work
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in marketing and communications
  • At least 6 years of supervisory and leadership experience, with proven leadership capabilities
  • Prior experience in the social services sector will be an advantage
Technical Competencies
  • Ability to write well including putting together press releases, and to speak to media if required.
  • Experience in producing and delivering proposals and pitches and ability to write persuasive arguments
  • Experience with graphic design software and other digital software donation payment management platform will be an advantage
  • Good experience & knowledge in existing and emerging social media platforms.
  • Success with fundraising via social media platforms
