Opportunity
The APA Maersk Procurement team is looking for a Head of Procurement responsible for Inland and L&S, spend roughly 100M USD spend.
We are looking for a Head of TMS (Thailand/Malaysia/Singapore) Procurement being responsible for all procurement activities, located preferably in Thailand, Singapore/Malaysia being an option as well. The newly created position reports to the Head of APA Procurement. The position sits on the TMS ALT (Area Leadership Team).

Key Responsibilities
What this position involves:

• 
  Being an integral part of the Area Management Team and hence being a true business partner
• 
  Being an integral part of a Regional and Global function: Maersk Procurement
• 
  Leading currently a team of 6 people
• 
  Responsible of designing an executing a Procurement strategy together with TMS stakeholders as well as APA Procurement
• 
  Leading negotiations and driving engagement between Maersk and its suppliers.
• 
  Managing complex procurement projects within operations, to ensure alignment between costs, commercial needs and operational execution.
• 
  Responsible for supplier relationship management, building strong relations with the vendors to drive value through the supply chain
• 
  Being accountable for the portfolio framework to help ensure cost leadership, compliance and best in class supplier performance.
• 
  Accountability for problem solving, analytical work, and driving insights from analytical work related to procurement functions
• 
  Performing supplier market analysis and organising market intelligence.
• 
  Cooperating closely with colleagues and stakeholders in all Maersk offices and with manager and colleagues within APA.
• 
  Some travel must be expected

• 
  >10 years procurement would be a key advantage and i.e. in a matrix organization.
• 
  Experience in leading teams is a must.
• 
  Experience in Transformation is a plus.
• 
  Experience in leading significant contract negotiations is necessary, ideally within supply chain management, logistics or shipping operations.
• 
  Awareness of cost drivers will be highly valued in the selection process.
• 
  It is necessary to possess experience within project management and it is expected that the candidate in previous roles have acted as project leader for cross-functional projects.
• 
  The individual we are looking for must have strong communication & interpersonal skills, through which he or she will engage a broad range of colleagues and stakeholders locally, regionally, and globally across a wide range of departments.
• 
  We are looking for an experienced negotiator with a solid track record within various environments and across multiple geographies.
• 
  The person will be responsible for driving key procurement projects forward and will be an integral part of the team and its ability to deliver on our ambitious goals.
