Rohlig Global Sea Freight is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead our APAC Sea Freight team. This pivotal role is based in the heart of Singapore and offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of our sea freight operations in the Asia-Pacific region.

Responsibilities

• Lead the APAC Global Sea Freight Product team, driving volume development and margin optimization.
• Act as a subject matter expert in ocean-related matters, both internally and externally.
• Collaborate with Sales and GTM to develop competitive pricing solutions, enhancing business volumes.
• Strategize and implement effective FCL/LCL procurement aligned with our Global strategy.
• Oversee and improve Gross Margin on dedicated trade lanes, in line with strategic objectives.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key carriers, including negotiation and contract management.
• Provide transparent trade lane carrier reporting and maintain effective communication with our global network.
• Ensure FCL/LCL rate visibility through our global rate engine.
• Actively participate in budget planning and management.
• Drive the FAK policy and manage trade allocations.

Skills required

• Extensive experience in sea freight forwarding and procurement.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with proven negotiation skills and strategic thinking.
• Proficient in English, both verbal and written.
• Advanced skills in MS Office, particularly Excel and Access.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Capable of working independently and adept at virtual communication.
• Demonstrated leadership in a matrix organization.
