Who We NeedThe Healthcare Assistant ensures safe patient transfers, maintains cleanliness, and provides care in an orderly and safe environment.Delivery SuiteYour key responsibilities are:

• Assist in admissions and provide orientation on room and ward facilities.
• Porter duties such as transfer of patients from one location to another.
• Assist patient with showering when required.
• Perform bathing and umbilical care for neonates.
• Take meal orders, serve meals and drinks, assist with feeding, and prepare milk formula for pediatric patients.
• Prepare and assist with feeding newborns in the nursery.
• Assist postnatal mothers with breastfeeding.
• Assists with using and managing bedpans, urinals, commodes, vomit bowls, measures and empties catheter bags and removes urinary catheters.
• Assists with positioning, transferring and mobilising the patient.
• Assist with emergency procedures as directed by the trained nurse e.g. Code Blue, Code Red and Code Green.
• In charge of the overall environmental functions such as bed making, changing linen and general maintenance of all areas to keep clean and tidy.

Endoscopy CenterYour key responsibilities are:

• Safely transfer patients between different areas of the healthcare facility (e.g., wards, departments).
• Ensure that patient care areas are kept clean and organized to provide a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Assist in maintaining a safe and hygienic environment under the supervision of a trained nurse.
• Provide general assistance and support to help ensure smooth daily operations of the department.
• Handle, sort, clean, and decontaminate medical instruments properly according to established guidelines.
• Carefully check all cleaned instruments to ensure they are in proper condition before being packing for use.
• Comply with policies and procedures in preparing surgical instruments for sterilisation and ensure proper decontamination processes are followed.

How to Succeed

• Possess at least GCE'N' Level.
• Certificate in Health Care Assistant is highly preferred for this position.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in the healthcare industry.
• To perform shift duties including weekends and public holidays.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Exhibit a good sense of responsibility and commitment towards the job and hospital.
• Candidate shall be assigned to the various departments within the hospital depending on operational needs, if required.
