Job Description

As a Head of Department - Special Education, you will be responsible for the following duties:



Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of curriculum, pedagogy, and assessments for the assigned domain/level/track. Customize instructional programmes and monitor student progress, collaborating with families and allied professionals to support holistic student development. Develop and implement programmes for student character and social-emotional growth. Design and facilitate professional development and learning communities; pursue own professional growth. Provide ongoing mentorship, feedback, and performance evaluation to teachers. Lead cross-functional teams to plan and execute school-wide initiatives and projects. Establish and maintain partnerships with families, community, and other stakeholders; oversee communication materials. Manage organisational culture, work plans, budgets, and resources aligned with school vision and priorities. Support staff induction, recruitment, participation in organisation-wide programmes, and perform additional duties as assigned.



Requirements:



Bachelor's degree in Special Education or other relevant qualifications
