Job Description

Hiring a

Linux / Hardware Engineer (

preferably SUSE Linux) with a strong focus on compute cluster design and optimization for a project with one of the world's leading semiconductor companies. This is a 1-year contract role with the possibility of extension, offering an opportunity to work on advanced, high-performance computing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will design and develop compute cluster configurations optimized for performance, reliability, and scalability. You'll select and validate hardware components such as CPUs, memory, storage, networking, and specialized accelerators. Working closely with cross-functional hardware, software, and systems teams, you'll ensure seamless integration of compute clusters into broader system architectures. You will also document design decisions, integration procedures, and diagnostic workflows, and participate in design reviews and collaborative problem-solving sessions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong experience in computer hardware design, particularly in compute cluster or server environments. Familiarity with Linux system administration and OS customization (preferably SUSE Linux). Solid understanding of system-level performance tuning and hardware-software interaction. Excellent documentation and communication skills.

Experience with hardware validation and troubleshooting tools. Knowledge of high-performance computing (HPC) or distributed systems.
