Role Responsibilities
The role holder will partner with Business Leaders in CPBB Singapore to deliver the local People Plan, aligned to the relevant global business / function People Plan. Strategy

  • Partner with relevant business leaders to formulate and deliver the People Plans (such as organisational design, leadership and talent development, diversity and inclusion as well as future ready workforce) that are aligned to the Global CPBB’s People Plans, to enable a high-performance culture focused on enhancing capability and improving productivity across CPBB Singapore.
  • Deliver appropriate and relevant HR advice, ensuring that this is aligned to the overarching business strategy, governance processes and risk appetite.
  • Identify, prioritise and build organisational capabilities and behaviours to drive the country-wide CPBB’s strategy.
Business
  • Proactively form credible relationships to effectively partner with business leaders and challenge / influence relevant decision-making as appropriate.
  • Engage with and coach assigned CPBB Singapore’s business leaders in configuring and deploying people policies, processes and products processes to drive business performance and engagement.
  • Act as a change agent and key enabler to help drive global and / or CPBB Singapore’s specific change initiatives with stakeholders and wider teams.
  • Drive projects and deliverables that relate to the CPBB Singapore’s people agenda.
  • Lead country People Forums for CPBB Singapore in line with business needs.
Processes
  • Continuously improve the operational efficiency and effectiveness of HR processes by identifying areas for improvement, providing feedback and escalating issues where appropriate to relevant COEs within HR.
  • Ensure effective management of operational risks within the role remit, and compliance with applicable internal policies and external laws and regulations.
People and Talent
  • Develop an appropriate talent strategy to ensure a high-quality succession pipeline exists for critical roles within CPBB Singapore with a focus on developing capability fit for future business needs.
  • Focus on inter-region and global talent opportunities and pipelines, in collaboration with colleagues within HR including Global HRBPs.
  • Lead the team to deliver specific projects and deliverables, as determined by the HR and CPBB Singapore’s scorecard.
  • Set and monitor job descriptions and objectives for direct reports and provide feedback and rewards in line with their performance against those responsibilities and objectives.
  • Set appropriate tone and expectations from their team and work in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, including risk and control partners.
  • Employ, engage and retain high quality people.
Risk Management
  • Understand and help manage the people-related risk profile of CPBB Singapore, including operational and reputational risk, to Group Standards.
  • Provide oversight of complex employee relations issues involving senior people, significant litigation, and high profile or broad business issues.
  • Support the effective implementation of the Risk Management framework within the role remit.
Governance
  • Embed the Group’s values and code of conduct, as it relates to the role remit, to ensure that adherence with the highest standards of ethics, and compliance with relevant policies, processes and regulations form part of the culture within CPBB Singapore.
Regulatory and Business Conduct
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

  • 10+ years of experience across different facets of HR
  • Professional Qualification in Business Management / Human Resources
  • IHRP Certification
