The Team
Come and join the team of dedicated and committed HR Business Partners that support the mission of a range of Research Institutes under the Research Clusters i3 and i4:Centre for Maritime Studies (CMS), Institute of Data Science (IDS), Institute of Operations Research & Analytics (IORA), Institute for Mathematical Sciences (IMS), Lloyd\'s Register Foundation Institute for the Public Understanding of Risk (IPUR), Smart Systems Institute (SSI), Sustainable & Green Finance Institute (SGFIN) and Tropical Marine Science (TMSI), Asian Institute of Digital Finance (AIDF), Risk Management Institute (RMI), Institute of Real Estate & Urban Studies (IREUS), The Logistics Institute-Asia Pacific (TLI-AP), Singapore Synchrotron Light Source (SSLS), NUS Centre for Trusted Internet and Community (CTIC).The Scope
You will partner and support the business line heads, principal investigators and managers to handle, in a proactive and consultative approach, a full spectrum of HR functions which includes Talent Acquisition, Campus Visits, Staff Retention, Compensation, performance appraisals, as well as talent management and development.Duties and ResponsibilitiesPartnership and Responsibilities

  • Partner and support the research institutes\' heads/principal investigators/managers to handle, in a proactive and consultative approach, a full spectrum of HR functions
  • Partner the Centres of Excellence (COE) in reviewing, developing, implementing and administering the rewards and benefits programmes of the University.
  • Contact point for employee relations issues, provide accurate assessment of situations and provide HR advice to business units.
  • Make decisions within areas of responsibilities
  • Able to multitask and manage the workload during peak periods and plan for appropriate backup resources
  • Lead process review projects and participate in improvement projects.
  • Generate improvement ideas and translate them into plans and actions.
  • Other ad-hoc tasks/projects as assigned
Qualifications
  • At least 3 years\' experience as HR Business Partner, ideally in higher education or research sector.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to relate well with people at all levels and good service orientation
  • High IT literacy and strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Good command of written and spoken English language
