Job Description


Division: Human Resource Reports to: Section Head Functional Relationships with: All departments in the company Position Profile: The successful candidate will support the HR department in terms of Compliance, Employee Relation and Industrial Relation. Ensure the company\xe2\x80\x99s compliance towards the applicable laws and regulations, code of conduct and the responsibility standards in relation to labour and ethics. Promote employee welfare which includes resolving human relations problems and promoting employee health and well-being. Facilitate the relationships among employer, employees and government agency to achieve a harmonious and engaged workforce as we progress towards organisational goals.

Key Duties & Responsibilities: Compliance
  • Update and ensure compliance with local laws and regulations
  • Manage and handle Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) and customer code of conduct related issues
  • Conduct and review risk assessment
  • Coordinate and participate in the internal audit, external audit and management review
  • Consolidate, review and follow-up on the corrective action plan with stakeholders
  • Depending on the subject /scope, monitor and report the compliance on regular basis
  • Design and conduct compliance related training
Employee Relation
  • Handle disciplinary, grievance and feedback matters which may include the need to conduct inquiry, investigation, issue warning and document it in accordance to the company policies and procedures
  • Implement and work on programmes and initiatives designed to improve employee engagement and well-being
  • Liaise with vendors/ internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth delivery of the welfare gifts, medical check-up, workplace injury compensation to our employees
Industrial Relation
  • Ensure the company\'s treatment of employees is consistent with the company policies and the collective agreement
  • Negotiate with government agency on labour-related issues to achieve desired and acceptable outcomes
  • Coordinate and communicate with internal stakeholders on the attendance for the government agency branch committee meeting and training
  • Organise the company-industrial related events
Ability / Competency Required:
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Human Resource Management or equivalent.
  • At least 1-3 years relevant working experience
  • Knowledge on RBA, Employment Act, Industrial Relations Act will be an added advantage
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • A team player with a positive attitude, independent and pro-active individual
  • Attention to details and deadline-oriented
