Job Description


The role requires the incumbent to lead the HR department, managing a broad spectrum of responsibilities from manpower planning and staffing to performance management and employee engagement. The candidate will play a crucial role in fostering a progressive workplace, ensuring VFT remains a top choice for talents in the renewable energy sector.Responsibilities

  • Human Resource Management: Oversee all aspects of human resource management, including recruitment, compensation, talent management, and employee development.
  • Staff Welfare and Training: Ensure the well-being of staff and manage training programs to meet regulatory and organizational needs.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain HR data to comply with workplace health and safety regulations, industrial certifications, and manpower qualifications.
  • Budgeting and Planning: Prepare manpower plans and budgets in support of annual and quarterly planning exercises.
  • Talent Management: Implement and manage a talent management program aligned with strategic objectives.
  • HR Policy and Administration: Update the employee handbook, document HR policies, and oversee administrative support for various HR-related submissions and claims.
  • Employee Relations: Handle grievances, disciplinary procedures, and drive HR initiatives to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Payroll and Relocations: Process payroll and manage the relocation and work pass applications for foreign employees.
  • Internship Recruitment: Conduct bi-annual internship recruitment fairs and support digital marketing & PR initiatives.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: A minimum degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 6 years of HR Generalist experience, with a preference for candidates holding IHRP certification or having recruitment experience in the manufacturing sector.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Strong leadership skills, familiarity with MOM guidelines, employment laws, and HR e-services. Knowledge of grants for recruitment and experience recruiting interns are essential.
  • Personal Attributes: The candidate should be highly collaborative, resourceful, adaptable, and possess strong interpersonal skills to build effective relationships.
  • Preferred Experience: Previous experience in the manufacturing sector and managing operations across multiple countries is preferred, as is experience in start-ups with a proven track record of organizational growth.
