The role has direct control of HR operations, people planning, recruitment/onboarding, HR policies and supports managers and people leaders. The HR Manager, South East Asia will have responsibility for developing our EV Cargo HR Strategy and supporting countries where we have a wholly owned EV Cargo presence. The role will also be responsible for Singapore local HR related matters. The role leads HR activity and is the company's HR representative within the geographical region. Responsible to develop and execute HR activities underpinning the overall global & regional vision, mission and values. Direct collaboration with Regional peers and Country Managing Managers is critical to ensure local and regional objectives and targets are achieved. The primary function of this role is to establish a new HR business function, establish new policies, processes and assist staff to accelerate growth. Key Responsibility & Tasks: . Regional HR Lead in addition to local SG HR related matters . Oversee HR activity in EV Cargo two core SE Asia entities: Singapore & Myanmar . Support HR activities in associate countries: Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippines, Thailand . Assist the regional team to setup new offices across SE Asia with the conversion of associates into EV Cargo wholly owned subsidiaries . Manage new & existing employment contracts for the Singapore local team and SE Asia regional team . Manage payroll for the Singapore paid employees of EV Cargo . Lead the onboarding activity of new employees . Create HR policies & procedures that will be the foundation of how we set HR strategy for the SE Asia region . Lead recruitment for all regional roles and roles with Singapore & Myanmar offices with support from the hiring managers . Assist staff to develop career plans that help them move laterally and upward in the EV Cargo organisation . Create job descriptions for key roles, outlining responsibilities and KPIs . Develop training programs that are targeted for specific roles and responsibilities . Assist in performance management processes with people managers . Manage exit interviews and offboarding of staff . Support the management of disciplinary and grievance issues . Maintain employee records (attendance, leave data etc.) according to policy and legal requirements . Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance . Lead staff engagement across the region PERSON SPECIFICATION Education / Qualifications: Degree level Language skills or experience managing across South East Asian countries Experience Required: A Minimum of 10 years' experience in performance of functions as detailed in the role content Demonstrate leadership ability for complex multi country, multi product environments. Demonstrates a strong sense of HR acumen through knowledge of industry best practice for defining people requirements and delivering solutions considering the financial, marketing and operational factors at play Proven leadership in supporting large teams Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Compentencies Strong interpersonal and leadership skills proven ability to work with a diverse team and influence and drive change across functional and business boundaries in a fast-paced environment Ability to operate effectively in a rapidly growing and dynamic changing environment. Excellent written & verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organisation, including executives. Demonstrates adaptability and resilience in situations of uncertainty, using intuition to compensate when the full picture isn't available taking smart risks where necessary Proven ability to develop, maintain and enhance relationships with a variety of internal and external networks A proven disciplined self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and/or remotely Excellent organisational skills, ability to prioritise and react to change quickly and positively and meet deadlines and attention to detail.
