Job Description

My client is a dynamic and growing organization looking to expand presence in Singapore. They are seeking a highly experienced and knowledgeable HR Manager to lead human resources initiatives and support our growth in the region.
Key Responsibilities

  • Compliance and Legal Knowledge: Ensure full compliance with Singapore's labor laws, regulations, and employment policies.
  • Team Building and Development: Lead the recruitment, onboarding, and development of a high-performing team.
  • Company Setup: Oversee the establishment of our Singapore office, including legal, administrative, and operational aspects.
  • Policy Development: Develop and implement HR policies and procedures tailored to the Singapore context.
  • Stakeholder Management: Communicate effectively with Chinese stakeholders, ensuring seamless collaboration and alignment.
  • Performance Management: Implement performance management systems to drive productivity and employee engagement.
  • Employee Relations: Foster a positive work environment and manage employee relations to ensure high levels of satisfaction and retention.
  • Strategic Planning: Work closely with senior management to develop and execute HR strategies that support the company's goals and objectives.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR management, with a proven track record in team building and company setup from 0-1.
  • Legal Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Singapore's labor laws and employment regulations.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in both English and Mandarin (verbal and written).
  • Team Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions.
  • Cultural Sensitivity: Understanding of both Singaporean and Chinese business cultures.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in setting up and managing a Singapore office for a foreign company.
  • Familiarity with HR systems and tools (e.g., HRIS, ATS).
  • Certification in Human Resources (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP).
