About the role Our Commercial organization was formed in 2018 and is undergoing significant transformation and growth. We are committed to building a high performing organisation with engaged, motivated and empowered employees to deliver an exciting business strategy. You will contribute to shaping the people strategy and partner with Commercial leaders to deliver people priorities aligned with Commercial business direction. In addition, as part of the HR business partner team for Commercial, you will lead and/or participate in critical HR projects for Commercial portfolio. Reporting to the VP People, Commercial, you will:
  • Effectively partner with Commercial VPs and their leadership teams to shape organisation’s people strategy
  • Be the custodian and delivery owner of organisation and people plan, priorities, initiatives and HR solutions
  • Co-lead relevant change management in the implementation of the organisation’s vision, mission, structure and related culture change programs
  • As a trusted partner, coach, challenge, support and provide HR expertise and insights to leaders
  • Partner with leaders to strengthen Commercial’s business performance, culture, capability & employee’s engagement
  • Monitor, report on and analysis of HR data and trends to proactively develop strategies to address gaps and maximise opportunities
  • Collaborate with various HR teams to provide fit for purpose HR solutions
  • Be active member of the RT/Commercial HR community and contribute to continuously innovate and improve HR function’s processes, systems and service delivery.
  • Lead a number of critical projects, in conjunction with colleagues in Area of Expertise and People Services, focusing on commercial capability building and related performance/rewards.
What you will need for the role To succeed in this role, you will have:
  • Strong experience and track record in effective HR business partnering to senior leaders in a global matrix organisation
  • Strong business acumen, able to diagnose and analyse issues and drive appropriate solutions
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, including collaborating across large, matrix structures to achieve optimal outcomes
  • Sound knowledge and application of more than one of the following disciplines: organisational design, change management, capability development, talent development, rewards or culture change.
  • Strong mindset and behaviours of team player in a highly collaborative, diverse & matrix environment
  • Have worked in global roles (across time zones and cultures) and able to deliver through collaboration in a complex, networked/matrix global organisation

It would also be beneficial if you have:
  • Relevant industry background in mining and metals
  • Consulting experience desirable
