Fulfill the responsibilities of a WSHO in accordance with legislative and regulatory requirements.
Ensure compliance with statutory acts, regulations, company safety rules, and codes of practice across all staff.
Provide coaching and guidance to employees on workplace safety practices.
Implement and manage project-specific HSE systems and programs in line with corporate procedures.
Support company and project initiatives to attain HSE-related awards and certifications.
Conduct site safety audits, inspections, and compliance checks.
Identify gaps in WSH/Environmental systems, procedures, and performance, and recommend improvements.
Develop and implement safety programs.
Review and assess WSH Management System (WSHMS) and Environmental reports.
Lead safety meetings, briefings, and training sessions for stakeholders.
Collaborate closely with the project team to uphold high safety, health, and environmental standards.
Liaise with authorities on occupational safety, health, and environmental matters.
Advise the Project Director/Manager on WSH issues and potential improvements.
Maintain accurate records and reports on site safety, health, and environment, ensuring timely submissions.
Review both internal and external risk assessments and risk management processes.
Investigate workplace incidents, recommend corrective and preventive measures, and monitor follow-up actions.
Ensure the validity and availability of all Permit-to-Work (PTW) supporting documents.
Prepare and submit the Site Environmental Control Program prior to project commencement.
Plan and coordinate tabletop exercises and Emergency Preparedness and Response Plan drills, while ensuring emergency equipment is maintained.
Prepare and present detailed analytical reports on WSH performance, conditions, and practices.
Carry out other HSE-related duties as assigned by management.
Job Requirements:
Diploma/Degree in Workplace Safety and Health or a related field.
Registered WSHO with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) and at least 5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry.
Well-versed in regulatory requirements pertaining to Workplace Safety, Health, and Environment (WSH & ENV).
Minimum of 5 years' experience working on CAG projects is an advantage.
Strong ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Possession of own transport is preferred.
Working hours: 5.5 days per week
Work location: CAG project sites (details to be provided during the interview or upon successful hire).
