About the job

You report to the Goods Flow Outbound Manager and support in the optimization and development of the outbound operations in store to maximize store\'s logistical performance. You ensure the preconditions for an effective and efficient outflow processes are in place with a customer centric focus on excellence in execution. You will be committed to the development of your co-workers and ensure a living succession plan is in place within the outbound team.

Your assignment

  • Lead the store outbound team and work with the store customer experience and commercial teams to secure the highest quality customer order fulfilment at all times at the lowest possible total cost.
  • Secure an effective, qualitative and efficient operation within the store\'s outbound processes in order to guarantee a great customer shopping experience through accurate picking, product quality, stock accuracy and on-time handover to transport service provider.
  • Manage overall resources effectively to maximize productivity and cope with demand fluctuation and drive key initiatives and operational excellence throughout the operations.
  • Influence and lead the goods flow co-workers within the assigned area of responsibility to secure the highest goods availability and enable customer order picking at all times at the lowest possible cost.
  • Work closely within the goods flow team to secure correct usage of short-term capacity of the store in order to maximize efficient logistics operations by considering space, equipment and people.
  • Identify, recruit, retain and develop the talents in the outbound team to secure a diverse and competent team that can execute its assigned responsibilities with confidence and secure future succession.
  • Contribute with relevant outflow input and feedback to the store business plan and logistics action plan, considering future needs of space, equipment and people. Ensure that these actions are implemented in the outbound goods flow processes.
  • Share knowledge of effective and efficient goods flow operations, within assigned area of responsibility, with colleagues and business partners to support their competence development and support of goods flow operations including understanding the principles of health and safety in goods flow processes.
  • Establish strong partnerships with partnering delivery service providers to secure last mile strategies.
  • Fulfilment performance monitoring, how KPI\'s are used to monitor business performance and how they influence each other.
  • Contribute to positioning IKEA retailers and the IKEA Brand as responsible partners in lowering environmental impact by taking relevant actions that contribute to achieving long-term profitability in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way.
  • Live the IKEA Values and nurture a strong and thriving IKEA Culture that inspires colleagues to reach extraordinary achievements in the store and especially the goods flow team.
  • Ensure that the goods flow team works in compliance with the IKEA Code of Conduct, internal IKEA regulations and local legislation relating to health, safety, security and the environment.
Qualifications

Your profile
  • You have at least 6-8 years experience of working in a fast-paced retail and logistic environment and a proven track record of getting things done and management experience of leading others.
  • Have the interest in retailing and supply chain logistics with a strong desire to maximise turnover, creating profit and improving customers\xe2\x80\x99 shopping experience.
  • Strong in personal drive, planning, organizational and process skills, tactical abilities and high energy level.
  • Ability to meet agreed budgets and goals and comprehensive long-term planning for the department.
  • Good with setting expectations for co-workers and provide clear direction and details in following up.
  • Confident communicator and a leader in delegating responsibilities. Have the ability to work on tactical and operational level.
  • Knowledge of ways of planning Logistics resources and processes (e.g. staff, organizational structure, equipment, in-delivery schedule) in accordance with potential sales scenarios.
  • MS Office skills with inter-mediate Excel. Business Analytical skills will be an advantage.
  • You must be flexible and available to work on weekends, Public holidays and shift works.
