About the job

Together with the team, you will support the department to fulfil and optimize the recovery operations. You will strive towards making a positive experience for our customers, so they will return and shop with us again over time.

Your assignment

  • To ensure the Recovery is always a safe and secure environment for visitors and co-workers and that property is safeguarded and conscious of safety at all times in store.
  • Work together with colleague and manager to contribute actively to the creation of the store business plan and converting the business plan goals into clear annual action plan within the recovery areas and responsible for executing relevant actions within the plan.
  • Bring business and people together, empower, support and coach the co-workers on the job to help them perform better and grow.
  • Strive to minimise the financial loss of damaged in the store and try to maximise the financial recovery by repacking and moving goods back to stock or assemble, price and sell goods in the As-Is shop. Lead a team of co-workers that assemble furniture that are damaged and to be sold in As-Is shop.
  • Manage the As-Is shop and secure a high commercial level to reach the As-Is goal with an approval of As-Is price discount within the guideline of retail selling price.
  • Work closely with other functions in handling damages in my store and together identify the root cause of recurring damages and take appropriate action to minimise the reoccurrence of these in future.
  • Control the risk of fraud in Exchange & Returns by securing that the 4-eye principle is implemented in the interface between Exchange & Returns and Recovery.
  • To ensure all recovery initiatives grow IKEA business and support the sustaining of long-term profitability.
  • Responsible for management of the product quality claim process and reporting. Ensure that all product quality issues in the store, or potential incidents, are reported through CASY.
  • Secure that there is Super User for the IT system CASY and that the Sales Stop and Safety Alarm process is implemented according to routines approve defined by IKEA of Sweden.
  • Ensure the recovery actions support the achievement of the agreed goals based on the agreed KPIs.
  • Steer effective use of staffing resources through using productivity measurement to ensure constantly evaluate and improve my staff planning.
  • Encourage my team to discover even more effective and cost-conscious ways of working to make us quicker, leaner and simpler, and through this lower our cost structure.
  • Take an active role in the recovery team and work cross-functionally utilising the competence of colleague in other parts of the store as well as other stores in country.
Qualifications

Your profile
  • You have at least 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience of working in a fast-paced retail and logistic environment with proven track record in management experience of leading others.
  • Strong in personal drive, planning, organizational and process skills, tactical abilities and high energy level.
  • Proven record of consistently meeting agreed budgets and goals, and working on plans over a number of years.
  • Good with setting expectations for co-workers and provide clear direction and details in following up.
  • Confident communicator and a leader in delegating responsibilities. Have the ability to work on tactical and operational level.
  • Good knowledge of administrative routines and how trans-types affect the key performances indicators (KPIs) related to recovery.
  • An ability to take decisions under uncertainty and As-Is price setting.
