About the Job

  • Supporting the IKEA Food Manager, you actively contribute to the development and implementation of a clear IKEA Food action plan based on store and country business plans and with input from Growing IKEA Together and the IKEA Food Direction & Strategy; ensuring IKEA\xe2\x80\x99s position as the best home furnishing store in our local market;
  • To be able to support and be familiar with Commercial Restaurant and SFM & Bistro roles;
  • To maximise commerciality and sales steering as well as implementing the IKEA Commercial calendar; integrating Swedish celebrations to include activity range and communication packages. Cooperate with the IKEA Food Management Team to enhance the link between Kitchen Production, IKEA Restaurant & Bistro and the Swedish Food Market by taking actions to promote cross merchandising/communication;
  • Be responsible for the efficient cost management (in food/dish cost, operational cost) with sales mix and inventory controlled is optimal and secure financial performance of the Kitchen section, including gross profit/cost, manhour planning and productivity levels;
  • Ensure that the operations of all IKEA Food areas in the IKEA store operate in accordance with IKEA Quality and Food Safety requirements and other relevant legislation (list relevant legislation applicable by Country); Promoting a \xe2\x80\x9csafety first\xe2\x80\x9d culture where co-workers are encouraged to raise and discuss concerns and solutions. And to co-operate with external service providers and authorities when needed;
  • To secure that high-volume dishes suits the taste of the many in the local market and to ensure co-workers are provided with the necessary training on all new products rolled out;
  • Adjust and implement the IKEA HACCP plan to secure store\xe2\x80\x99s requirements and ensure the HACCP routines are known and followed in the daily work;
  • Adhere to the guidelines stipulated in IKEA Concept Documentation and IKEA Safety & Security Risk Manual on top of IKEA HACCP guidelines and plans, to provide a safe working environment for co-workers and customers;
  • Ensure that all food incidents, or potential incidents, are reported through CASY;
  • Act in accordance with the IKEA Sustainability Direction and work with the team to take actions that contribute to sustainability, such as waste management;
  • A promoter of the IKEA Values and create a healthy IKEA Culture in the work environment for co-worker. Be a coach for co-workers; securing their training and develop successors to the roles in the department
  • To anticipate changing business conditions, set goals and standards, plans and schedule work to meet operational requirements plus Governmental requirements during crisis period.
Qualifications

With 3 to 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience and strong understanding & background in food production & safety, food service management, preferably in a high-volume business and have passion with strong knowledge of culinary or food service industry. Customer focused, analytical, good in communication and enjoy working in a fast paced and constantly changing retail environment. You are fluent in business language and have a good knowledge of PC skills. You are cost-conscious and know that everything as a price tag. Proven leadership abilities and nurture a strong environment with IKEA values to bring out the best in co-workers.
