Role Summary:
Maker Lab is looking for a dynamic individual to join an exciting project we've embarked on with our technology client. Our client's brand is complex, innovative and paving the way for creative avenues to revolutionise the payment industry in unconventional ways.
As the Illustrator, you will partner across a wide range of departments alongside your team of creatives to elevate the visuals and concepts of illustration and visual designs with a deep understanding of what the user wants. You work well with people and are problem solvers. You are open to multiple perspectives and thrive in revolutionising the UI world.
This is not your traditional agency Illustrator role. In addition to crafting your design, your job is to generate fresh, innovative, and visually striking ideas based on the latest trends.

Role:

• Create illustrations from sketch to polished execution.
• Contribute to the design coverage by executing editorial, social media, digital, and marketing content through a combination of graphic design and illustration.

• Participate and engage in team brainstorms and discussions relating to our client's design needs, which would include localising global direction and conceptualising visually enticing designs.

• Deliver editorial illustrations and designs in a fast-paced creative environment.

• Present ideas and concepts to the entire editorial team and project stakeholders.

• Research constantly about the latest design and illustration trends ensure that our content is always relevant, original and innovative.

• Learn any potential new skills, tools and best practices in order to maximise the efficiency and productivity of your work.

You:

• You have at least 6+ years of working experience in design, media, or advertising.
• You are a hybrid illustrator and graphic designer, proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Your skills stretch across character illustration, typography, logo and layout design.
• You can work collaboratively, take direction, accept constructive feedback, and utilise it to make improvements.
• You can accommodate any requested directions or modifications coming from team members or project stakeholders if needed.
• You are responsible, accountable and hyper-organized - we can trust that you will deliver your work efficiently and on time.
• Exceptional verbal and written English communication and presentations skills and - ideally - fluent in another Asian language to cover projects spanning across JAPAC.

Contract Type: 3 months Fixed Term Contract
