We represent diverse experiences and backgrounds which strengthens our team and mirrors the healthcare communities we engage.Main Responsibilities:The Immunology Medical Advisor, MYSG will Develop and execute country medical plans for Respiratory indications (Asthma and COPD) for Malaysia & Singapore.The main responsibilities include:Strategy:

  • Utilise strong business acumen, acting as a key strategic business partner to the organisation.
  • Lead creation and implementation of medical plans (Asthma and COPD indications) for Malaysia & Singapore
  • Drive collaborative relationships with above-country colleagues to ensure the MCO / country involvement and strategic input into global and regional plans.
  • Initiate and drive projects to raise standards of care and change clinical practice.
  • Champion the patient voice when developing and implementing medical strategies.
  • Create industry leading digital, educational, and scientific content that is timely, relevant, interactive and innovative.
  • Deep therapy area expertise and product knowledge including competitor data, and drive adjustment to strategic brand plans as required to available new information.
  • Ability to rapidly assimilate new data and integrate into new therapy area.
  • Attend appropriate local and international symposia, disseminating key learnings to the brand teams upon return.
  • Drive agile adoption of global medical initiatives including medical transformation.
  • Provide cross-TA support to medical education and ensure sharing and implementation of best practices.
  • Perform effective additional Risk Minimisation Measures (RMM) implementation at country level (Malaysia & Singapore) in collaboration with PV team and/or other cross-functional team, if any
  • Good understanding of the impact and evolution of healthcare systems.
  • Ability to work independently with a solutions-oriented and balanced approach to ambiguity.
People Leadership:
  • Work with Medical Managers and MSLs across the MCO to drive key medical activities for the Immunology portfolio.
  • Drive strong collaborative relationships with commercial and cross-functional teams, including marketing, value & access, health economics, regulatory and clinical.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership influencing across networks and by coaching and mentoring members of the team.
External Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Develop and implement stakeholder engagement strategy for Respiratory indications (Asthma and COPD).
  • Develop and lead collaborations/ partnership with key professional societies and key experts.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with external experts.
  • Provide guidance as a Subject Matter Expert on Asthma and COPD and related Medical issues and seek impactful insights.
  • Provide scientific education on disease states, epidemiology, and clinical trials of Asthma and COPD indications when relevant.
  • Lead external advisory boards focused on Respiratory Indications.
  • Provides high-quality, accurate, balanced and directed information to key customers and stakeholders in response to unsolicited requests for information, supports investigators in IIR submissions, management of Managed Access Program (MAP).
Data Generation:
  • Lead and drive rapid integrated evidence planning and execution through deep understanding of internal and external stakeholder evidence needs and robust data gaps analysis.
  • Work with relevant functions to coordinate the local and global approval process of new study proposals.
Medical Operations:
  • Review and /or approve promotional and non-promotional materials in accordance with internal procedures.
  • Provide medical guidance and scientific education to internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure medical activities are executed according to franchise budget and cost-effective approaches are used to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Ensure medical compliance in alignment with global policies and ensure medical activities are implemented with respect of the highest ethical standards.
Education/Experience/Certification:
  • Doctorate level education: MD or equivalent Medical degree preferred, PhD or PharmD
  • Industry experience (including medical affairs field or office) and/or clinical experience mandatory, preferably with relevant Immunology / Respiratory experience.
  • Good understanding of the continuum of data generation including clinical development, Real World Evidence (RWE) and data gaps analysis
  • Strong business acumen to create compelling and effective Medical strategies that serves to benefit patients, HCPs, and other key external stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, influencing, and networking skills with an ability to work as part of a cross-functional and multicultural team.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously; plan, prioritize and implement actions using a self-dependent and structured working style.
  • Ability to embrace innovation and analyse information and emerging trends, including social, policy and access-related information, incorporate them into the MCO/ Country Medical Plans.
  • Ability to effectively engage with key external stakeholders and build long-term partnerships with Medical authorities, hospitals, physicians/specialists, opinion leaders and pharmacists.
  • Excellent communication skills including driving challenging discussions. Develop a good understanding of HCP communication preferences to adapt communication style and optimise use of relevant channels to suit.
