The Fixed Income Implementation team at Schroders plays a pivotal role in translating investment strategies into effective portfolio actions. Our team draws upon extensive expertise in fixed income markets, derivatives, and operational best practices.


We maintain a strong partnership with Schroders' investment professionals--collaborating closely with portfolio managers, trading desks, and risk management teams to bring investment ideas to life with precision and transparency. Overview of Role:



As an Implementation Analyst within the Fixed Income team based in Singapore, you will support the portfolio management process through the efficient and accurate implementation of investment decisions. This role works closely with Fund Managers, acting as a conduit between investment intent and operational execution--designing, proposing, and executing procedures that ensure portfolios align with client mandates and in-house guidelines.


The successful candidate is detail-oriented, performs the responsibilities with integrity, proactive in problem solving, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This ensures investment outcomes that benefit the clients and support the continued growth of the Schroders Fixed Income business.


Core responsibilities include raising and sizing trades across a range of fixed income instruments (such as foreign exchange, exchange traded derivatives, and over-the-counter derivatives), monitoring trade restrictions and portfolio activities, managing cash flows and hedging requirements, and coordinating trade settlement. You will play a key part in rebalancing strategies, transition management and fund restructuring, and implementing portfolio risk management using derivatives.


The role also entails cross-functional collaboration--liaising with teams across the business to ensure accurate trade execution, ongoing maintenance of portfolios, and the delivery of high operational standards. You will be expected to contribute to system and process improvements, thereby driving better efficiency and control in portfolio implementation.


Key Responsibilities:



Size, raise and implement security, foreign exchange, exchange-traded derivatives, and over-the-counter derivative trades in accordance with the trade intent of portfolio managers Restriction monitoring ensuring all trades conform with client mandates and in-house rules Designing and proposing procedures for portfolio implementation Trade authorisation for fixed deposits Provide day to day portfolio administration oversight Cash flow management & hedging Monitor execution and settlement of trades Monitor portfolios for maturity, rollover, corporate actions and margins requirement Liaise with a number of in-house departments with respect to monitoring trades and general maintenance of client portfolios Portfolio strategy rebalancing and implementation Portfolio transition management activities and portfolio restructuring Implement portfolio risk management using derivatives

Requirements:



Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g. CFA or equivalent) are advantageous Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a front office support role, preferably within the asset management industry Knowledge of fixed income and currency markets, including derivatives Good understanding of operational processes Detailed oriented and highly numerate Strong in both written and verbal communication skills A team player who can prioritise effectively and multi-task in a fast-paced environment Able to identify and contribute to process improvements
