Job Description

• Responsible for ensuring legal compliance, administration, and control for government requirements relative to import operations.

• Overall responsible for the interaction with Suppliers with regard to Purchase Order Issuance & Confirmation and Logistics Partners for the shipment once Purchase Orders are ready for import.

• Liaise with suppliers, forwarders, shipping lines, brokers, and nominated bank/s on a daily basis to ensure required documentation is in place and fully compliant for the import and shipments clearance & releasing requirements.

• Ensure accurate classification of goods with proper alignment with supplier and broker.

• Support and adhere to new policies and implementations of governing agencies.

• Anticipate, identify and resolve problems that could delay the release of import shipments by ensuring all customs requirements are adhered to.

• Participate in continuous improvement and productivity initiatives

• Coordinate shipments and tracking of orders.

• Responsible for maintaining and obtaining shipment status and provides updates to key personnel.

• Check invoices and billings vs rates quoted

Qualifications:

• Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Customs Administration, or any related courses.

• Knowledgeable in Airfreight operations.

• At least 1-2 years experience in the related field.

• Good Communication and Interpersonal Skills

• Has keen attention to details
