Job Description

:

• Develop and implement import strategies, coordinate with suppliers and third-party logistics to ensure smooth import operations, manage shipping schedules, and maintain communication with management and internal teams regarding updates.
• Oversee end-to-end operational activities for material transfer between warehouse and production, including tracking and reporting.
• Ensure import activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company standards.
• Monitor and manage the transportation of goods from origin to destination, ensuring accurate delivery.
• Maintain accurate records, ensure proper documentation for customs, and resolve any shipment documentation issues.
• Develop and manage the import shipping budget, analyze costs, and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
• Address shipment-related issues (delays, damages), liaise between involved parties, and submit claims for damages.
• Lead, train, and manage the performance of the import shipping team.
• Use import management systems, stay updated on technological advancements, and implement new tools for efficiency.
• Identify risks, develop risk mitigation strategies, and manage disruptions in the import process.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor\'s Degree or Diploma in Purchasing/Supply Chain / Logistics or equivalent related qualification
• Minimum 7 years of relevant managerial experience in manufacturing or relevant industry
• Proficient in Microsoft office applications and other relevant software (e.g. Navision)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• A dynamic team leader with a positive working attitude. Able to organize and lead a small team to attain business excellence
