What the role is:The Ministry of Law ensures a sound and progressive legal infrastructure, intellectual property infrastructure and insolvency regime, and optimizes land resources, to support national goals. You will be part of the Individual Insolvency and Debt Repayment Scheme Division of the Insolvency & Public Trustee's Office (IPTO) and handle Adjudication, Case Administration and/or Compliance.What you will be working on:Adjudication You will be responsible for all areas of adjudication under the division and be involved in engaging bankrupts, individuals/entities in possession of information/documents relating to bankrupts' assets, law firms and creditors. xe2x80xa2 Examine the validity of claims filed by creditors. xe2x80xa2 Correspond with creditors, solicitors and/or bankrupts on request for additional information and/or further documentary evidence in support of the claims filed against the bankruptcy estate - may include resolving disputes between creditors and bankrupts which arise in the adjudication of the Proof of Debt. xe2x80xa2 Sending statutory rejection notice to creditors whose claims are not admitted by the Official Assignee. xe2x80xa2 Conduct preliminary adjudication for case classification and the Official Assignee's asset realisation efforts. xe2x80xa2 Assess creditors' appeals to file Proof of Debt after the expiration of statutory timeline. xe2x80xa2 Liaise with solicitors in respect of suits, counterclaims, contingent claims, and unquantified damages. Case Administration You will be responsible for all areas of case administration under the Individual Insolvency Division and be involved in engaging other government agencies, law firms and creditors in the course of your work. xe2x80xa2 Monitor bankrupts' compliance to statutory duties. xe2x80xa2 Determine bankrupts' payments to the bankruptcy estate. xe2x80xa2 Handle both general and case-specific enquiries from bankrupts, creditors, solicitors, and representations from Members of Parliament. xe2x80xa2 Assess if bankrupts have movable assets. xe2x80xa2 Realise bankrupts' assets. xe2x80xa2 Process bankrupts' travel applications. xe2x80xa2 Review bankruptcy cases for discharge from bankruptcy. xe2x80xa2 Process payments to creditors. Compliance You will be responsible for all areas of case administration under the Compliance work involving Private Trustees-In-Bankruptcy (PTIBs). xe2x80xa2 Review bankruptcy applications to ensure that Private Trustees-In-Bankruptcy (PTIBs) are nominated correctly. xe2x80xa2 Ensure PTIBs provide sufficient Security Deposit (SD) and safekeep the Banker's Guarantees (BGs) before allowing the PTIBs to commence administration of cases. xe2x80xa2 Ensure the return of expired BGs to PTIBs or upon the exit of the cases from bankruptcy. xe2x80xa2 Assist PTIBs with technical issues. xe2x80xa2 Review feedback received on PTIBs administration of the bankruptcy estate.What we are looking for:Key Competencies xe2x80xa2 [Customer Service and Case Management] Effectively deliver services, coordinate, and manage service cases, from the start of service requests to their resolution, including resolving service challenges and performing service recovery where needed. xe2x80xa2 [Engaging Public and Stakeholders] Reach out, educate, and mobilise citizens/ businesses, stakeholders, and volunteers to support and promote community compliance. xe2x80xa2 [Investigating and Gathering Evidence] Investigate potential enforcement violations (online and offline) by collecting and analysing all evidence while considering facts of the case, and with an appreciation of different privacy laws, security standards, and frameworks across countries and jurisdictions. Ensure all evidence related to the case are appropriately obtained, documented, processed, and stored in accordance with agency policy and procedures to support case resolution. xe2x80xa2 [Leveraging on Technology] Keep up to date on technological trends relevant to my work in enforcement. Adopt relevant technology-enabled solutions to address current and future enforcement challenges. xe2x80xa2 [Managing Incidents] Assess and respond professionally to difficult and exceptional incidents that disrupt daily operational activities (e.g. major threats to officer, agency, stakeholders and/ or general public). xe2x80xa2 [Processing Cases] Ensure that each step in the case management process is carried out with professionalism and integrity. Personal Traits / Work Experience xe2x80xa2 Academic training preferably in Accountancy, Finance, Economics, Finance, Business Administration or Law. xe2x80xa2 Work experience of 1 to 2 years, preferably with experience in customer service. xe2x80xa2 Meticulous and ability to multi-task. xe2x80xa2 Good written and verbal communications skills. xe2x80xa2 Able to work independently with minimal supervision. xe2x80xa2 Energetic team-player with good interpersonal skills. xe2x80xa2 Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. xe2x80xa2 Comfortable working with figures and have eye for detail and willing to deal with legal documents (e.g. judgments, Order of court). xe2x80xa2 Self-aware, with a strong learning orientation.
