JOB DESCRIPTION

• Provide IT end-user support for cybersecurity assurance and compliance including asset documentation for scientific IT devices and systems at A*STAR's Research Entities.
• Collaborate with central IT teams within the ITSS Division (IT Security Operations, Governance, and Scientific IT) and vendors to ensure adherence to ASTAR IT Security Policies, baseline cybersecurity requirements, recommended technology standards and best practices.
• Be the first responder for investigating security incidents reported by users and/or detected by ITSS CERT team including coordinating recommended countermeasures, status updates and preparing an Incident Report for official closure.
• Provide technical support for the installation and configuration of security-related software on Scientific IT devices such as ensuring updated OS patches and Hardening, updated anti-virus signatures and NAC agents.
• Analyze advisories published by ITSS CERT and/or product manufacturers regarding vulnerabilities, product EOL/EOS status and coordinate remediation with affected device owners.
• Evaluate and implement new security tools, related processes and procedures to continuous improve the security posture of the Research Entities.
• Execute timely remediation of audits and penetration tests findings in collaboration with other teams in the Research Entities.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• At least 4 years of experience in Cybersecurity and/or Infrastructure Operations Support
• Experience in providing end-user, workstation or VM support such as OS patching and Hardening, Antivirus, IP networking, documentation, asset inventory
• Familiar with OS Platforms such as Windows, Mac, Linux and Scientific IT devices /IOTs
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated team player, capable of working with minimal supervision
• Relevant qualifications in Cybersecurity, Network Security, or equivalent-related certifications would be advantageous
