Responsibilities

Supporting Skill: Nutanix, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)

Systems Engineer who will be responsible for maintaining and administering the organization computer systems & networks. The primary duties will include maintenance of computer networks, hardware, software, and other related systems, performing disaster recovery operations, protecting data, software, and hardware from attacks, and replacing faulty hardware components when necessary. Engineer will also be working closely with customer POC to identify potential issues and fix existing problems in accordance with the specifications & service level.

Have to perform cross functional support (systems and either security or network). Refer to Technical / Professional Skills section for the list of tools & software used in the project.

Maybe required to be on shift for 24 x 7 over a period between 2 weeks to 3 months depending on the operation requirement.

Responsibilities include
1. Maintaining and administering computer networks and related computing environments including systems software, applications software, hardware, and configurations.
2. Align or enhance ITSM/ITIL methodologies in daily operations e.g. Change, Incident, problem, release management & CMDB.
3. Respond promptly to incident, root cause analysis & provide temporary and/or permanent resolution of incidents escalated.
4. Monitor & measure the performance & availability of the network & systems proactively which include daily, weekly & monthly checks and reporting.
5. Leading in the development / adoption and enforcement of Information Security policies, procedures and standards. Conduct review in accordance with customer / statutory requirements
6. Define, create and maintain the documentation for certification and accreditation of each information system in accordance with customer / statutory requirements.
Responsibilities include

7. Maintaining the Procedures that include:

\xc3\x98 Disaster Recovery and Emergency operating procedures.
\xc3\x98 Incident Response and process protocols including Incident Reporting and Sanctions.
\xc3\x98 Testing of the procedures, mechanisms and measures.
8. Protecting data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning, and implementing network security measures. Maintaining appropriate security measures and mechanisms to guard against unauthorized access to electronically stored and /or transmitted patient data and protect against reasonably anticipated threats and hazards.
9. Perform asset management:
\xc3\x98 Maintain an inventory of all the subscribed information assets
\xc3\x98 Delete the records that are not needed any more
\xc3\x98 Dispose of media and equipment no longer in use, in a secure way
10. Review network & systems in order to identify potential security weaknesses, recommend improvements to amend vulnerabilities, implement changes and document upgrades.
Oversee and/or assist in performing on-going security monitoring of organization information systems including:
\xc3\x98 Assess information security risk periodically.
\xc3\x98 Conduct functionality and gap analyses to determine the extent to which key business areas and infrastructure comply with statutory and regulatory requirements.
\xc3\x98 Evaluate and recommend new information security technologies and counter-measures against threats to information or privacy.
11. Ensure compliance through periodic security audits. These audits should be both internal and external in nature.
\xc3\x98 Ensure that all corrective actions are performed
\xc3\x98 Verify if the corrective actions have eliminated the cause of nonconformities
12. Assess the impacts on the network & system modifications and technological advances.
Establishing new solution that meets the minimum mandatory risk based technical, operational, and management information security control requirements.
13. Ensure compliance through adequate training programs
\xc3\x98 Performing induction training on security topics for new support staffs
\xc3\x98 Periodic refresh training or security update briefing for existing support staffs
\xc3\x98 Perform continuous activities related to awareness raising
14. Take leadership to ensure business continuity:
\xc3\x98 Coordinate the business impact analysis process and the creation of response plans
\xc3\x98 Coordinate exercising and testing
\xc3\x98 Perform post-incident review of the recovery plans
15. Continuous Improvement
\xc3\x98 Lead / contribute to the development of new initiatives to drive productivity, efficiency and cost savings for the project
\xc3\x98 Design, develop, test and implement agreed solutions
\xc3\x98 Manage and monitor development progress to ensure deliverables are on track
