An exciting Infrastructure Engineer job opportunity has become available at one of the world\'s largest defence contractors.

About the Infrastructure Engineer Role:
This person\'s primary responsibility will be to deliver new enabling capabilities, develop and deliver templated systems, resolve infrastructure support issues and maintain, manage and optimise the overall performance and availability of the infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete routine operations schedules for servers, server applications, databases, systems and network elements using established and repeatable procedures following corporate standards and requirements
• Install and support infrastructure hardware and software
• Identify underlying problems discovered during day-to-day operations and managing them to resolution within service level agreements
• Lead or support transformation projects to deliver new services
• Administer multiple virtualised production environments
• Resolve incidents within agreed service levels
• Manage technical input into infrastructure changes following change management processes
• Deliver new infrastructure services
• Identify underlying problems discovered during day-to-day operations, raising them with the Product Owner or Infrastructure Manager and manage them to resolution
• Complete routine weekly maintenance of servers, server applications, databases, systems and network elements using established and repeatable procedures following corporate standards and requirements. Update or write additional material as required
• Liaise with other support teams and third parties to ensure that incidents are escalated and resolved within service level agreements

To succeed in this Infrastructure Engineer role, you will need to have prior experience supporting a mix of Windows, Linux and MacOS technologies.

Key Requirements:

• Diploma/degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent, with at least three years\' relevant work experience
• Infrastructure support across VMWare, Windows Server; Linux
• Ability to work at all data classification levels, a sound understanding of security processes and policies is required
