As of December 2021, REC is part of Reliance Industries Limited, India\xe2\x80\x99s largest private sector company with revenues of USD 104.6 billion.Find out more at recgroup.comWe are looking for a self-motivated Process and Equipment Engineer, who can work independently, proactive in contribution and is able to demonstrate strategic thinking to be part of a Technology Industrialization team working on strategic ambition to be the world leading solar module manufacturer.The position requires one to have good project management, process and equipment knowledge and a mindset for continuous improvements in terms of wafer performance, cell efficiency, module power, quality, reliability, etc. in the plant.This role involves frequent travel to equipment / material vendors in China, and will be working closely with internal department functions, especially Process Industrialization and Equipment Development, to align on key plans for vendor / equipment / material evaluations. This role will also be sourcing for additional equipment / material vendors in China which may have suitable equipment / materials.This role will also follow up very closely on existing projects with vendors to ensure milestones are on track. At a later stage this role will also perform factory acceptance test to verify that the machine is fulfilling REC requirement.

• Comply with the company\xe2\x80\x99s safety protocol. Understand priority on safety and highlight any safety risk on the equipment. Participate in projects related to safety improvement.
• Sources for alternative equipment / material vendors in the China market. Evaluate machines and populate the equipment selection matrix. Understand REC machine / process specifications and perform tests accordingly to verify the equipment functions. Follow with vendor on equipment assembly and evaluate whether they are following project timelines. Monitor and spot latest industry trend, thereafter drive the internal alignment to our roadmaps
• Able to communicate and present at all levels of the organization.

Qualification

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or above in Mechanical / Material / Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 5-8 years working experience in Solar or Semiconductor Silicon Ingot-Wafer manufacturing.

Other Information

• Knowledge in Solar or Semiconductor Silicon Ingot-Wafer processes and materials
• Strong knowledge and experience in process & equipment development methods
• Silicon Crystal Pulling, Ingot Cropping / Shaping, Wafer Slicing / Cleaning / Inspection knowledge is required.
