Surrey Hills Grocer is an expanding brand that aims to be the most authentic Australian destination grocer by bringing honest-to-good, fine, fresh products. Inspired by the harsh terrains of Australia, we strive to bring you the best produce and offer everyone a taste of warm Australian hospitality.

On top of the Australian cafe and restaurant concept, we also have

Spanish, Taiwanese and Japanese restaurant concepts.

Key Responsibilities

Photography

Shoot premium food, beverage, retail products, and lifestyle content. Produce high-resolution images for menu, web, social media, and print. Maintain consistent brand style and visual quality.

Videography

Film short-form content for TikTok & Instagram Reels. Capture BTS, ambience, chef features, events, and product stories. Manage lighting, composition, and direction during shoots.

Editing & Post-Production

Oversee all photo/video edits (internal or external). Retouch photos; edit videos with sound design, captions, and transitions. Maintain an organised asset library and ensure all final deliverables meet brand standards.

Shoot Planning & Coordination

Plan shot lists with Brand/Social teams. Schedule regular outlet shoots and coordinate with chefs & outlet teams. Prepare props, lighting, and set-ups; ensure content meets campaign deadlines.

Creative Development

Support visual direction for campaigns. Propose new content ideas, trends, and formats. Create visuals for ecommerce (flatlays, product demos, bundles).

KPIs

Weekly deliverables (photos + videos) Visual consistency and approval rate On-time campaign delivery & organised assets Engagement and brand impact of visuals

Requirements

2-3 years of photography & videography experience (F&B/hospitality preferred) Strong portfolio (food photography + short-form videos) Proficient in Lightroom, Photoshop & Premiere Pro Skilled in lighting, composition, styling, and directing talent Understanding of TikTok/IG trends Highly organised and able to handle multiple shoots/projects
