About Coding in Colour (Singapore)
Coding in Colour is an intensive, job-focused training program that blends practical AI literacy with full-stack web development and career readiness. Our Singapore cohort runs in a hybrid model featuring live on-site instruction, online learning, hands-on labs, and structured career support.
We train learners from diverse backgrounds to build real-world projects, strengthen their professional presence, and prepare for meaningful employment opportunities in technology.
Key Responsibilities
1. Instruction & Delivery
Deliver live instruction, demos, hands-on labs, and code-alongs (on-site and online).
Facilitate collaborative learning: group discussions, peer work, and project teamwork.
2. Preparation & Curriculum Execution
Prepare lessons, slides, labs, assessments, and office hours.
Keep instructional materials current and aligned with module objectives.
3. Student Support & Progress Monitoring
Give timely feedback and grades on tasks and projects; assess completion and quality.
Respond promptly to student questions during class/labs and via approved channels (e.g. LMS, chat, email).
Monitor attendance and follow up with inactive or disengaged learners to drive participation across large sections.
Escalate academic, technical, or personal barriers to the program team early.
4. Career Readiness & Employment Support
Support students with resume reviews, mock interviews, LinkedIn/GitHub portfolio development, and job-search guidance.
5. CRM, Reporting & Engagement at Scale
Maintain accurate records in the CRM: attendance, grades, progress notes, risks.
Support student recruitment and retention activities when needed.
6. Team Collaboration
Participate in daily/weekly team meetings to align lesson plans, review progress, and prepare upcoming delivery.
Coordinate with co-instructors and teaching assistants across a multi-section cohort.
Qualifications Education and Training
ONE of:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Sceince, Software Engineering, IT, or related field, + 2 years of professional experience
OR
No formal degree, + 4-5 years of professional software development, technical teaching, or equivalent industry experience
Technical proficiency in the following:
Workplace AI tools
JavaScript/TypeScript
React & Redux
Node.js/Express
SQL/NoSQL databases
Experiences and Skills
Fluency in English and Malay. The program will be conducted in English. Aside from having a fair number of Malay-speaking students, we might also rehire our instructors for a future program in Malaysia. Familiarity with the students' language is important for student support and engagement.
Experience teaching in hybrid environments and coordinating within multi-instructor teams, ideally for large cohorts (~200 learners).
Strong communication and facilitation skills; capable of motivating diverse learners at different levels.
Organized and data-driven: reliable attendance tracking, timely feedback, consistent CRM updates.
Eligible to work in Singapore; availability for occasional evenings/weekends to meet virtually with the Canadian course team, depending on cohort needs.
Nice to Haves
Experience delivering career-readiness content and contributing to employment outcomes.
Familiarity with Singapore's tech hiring landscape.
Experience with to cloud fundamentals (AWS/GCP/Azure), CI/CD pipelines, containers, or Python/data tooling.
Experience with ML/AI, blockchain, IoT, or other emerging technologies.
Experience teaching adult learners in workforce development programs.
Program Delivery
Hybrid delivery with set in-person sessions and ongoing live online sessions.
Weekly expectations include:
Course delivery

Office hours / student support

Proactive follow-up with learners
The weekly schedule is determined based on program needs.
