Position Overview:
Lendlease Singapore is seeking an experienced Instrumentation and Control Engineer to join the Project Management & Construction team responsible for delivering a range of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate effectively with colleagues, clients, design consultants, and contractors to thoroughly comprehend project design and objectives.
Utilize engineering documentation and electronic data to define work scope within system packages, facilitating commissioning and start-up activities in a controlled manner.
Progressively transfer responsibilities to the start-up/commissioning organization, ensuring full acceptance by signature with an agreed-upon list of exception items to be completed by specific dates.
Compile, store, and transfer construction turnover packs for final delivery to the client and Lendlease.
Key Duties:
Foster a culture of Quality, Environmental Health, and Safety (Q-EHS) within the work package.
Take charge of the Electrical and Process Control package, meeting deadlines and budgets using solid project management principles.
Provide engineering support for the development and troubleshooting of Process Controls and electrical infrastructure installations.
Review process and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID) and relate them to the design and implementation of control structures.
Develop performance specifications for equipment vendors, conduct equipment selection, and prepare bid tabulations.
Serve as a technical specialist, formulating engineering solutions and techniques for system installations.
Assist in planning the electrical and controls portion of projects in terms of scope, cost management, and scheduling.
Oversee activities to ensure construction, installation, and operational testing conform to specifications, codes, standards, and customer requirements.
Define work package scope and participate in the contractor selection process.
Perform supplier site visits to ensure equipment designs align with plant configurations.
Generate site visit reports, contractor meeting minutes, project material listings, purchase orders, installation schedules, and system installations.
Manage the release of design input to suppliers (integrators, contractors, hardware suppliers, etc.).
Resolve technical issues identified by suppliers/contractors.
Supervise and inspect field operations.
Coordinate with QA/QC and turnover teams for the sucessful completion of the works and hand over to Commissioning teams and or Client
Coordinate works with other trade packages and vendors
Education & Experience:
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s or Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Control Engineering or a related field.
Completion of relevant Workplace Safety & Health courses for the construction sector.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction delivery of large-scale life sciences and cGMP facilities, with experience in managing turnover processes for large-scale manufacturing projects, preferably in the Life Sciences sector.
Experience in BMS, industrial control networks, and electrical power distribution systems.
Ability to work in multi-disciplinary design and construction teams.
Strong communication skills to engage with clients, consultants, and contractors.
Flexibility and the ability to work under pressure with a can-do attitude.
