Great architecture and fast iterations are fundamental in creating a world-class integration engine that consumes a wide variety of APIs and other data sources. As part of our new integration team, you will be instrumental in creating a database that consolidates logistics data for some of the largest companies in the world.
At Cargobase, we’re building a collaborative tool to connect shippers (logistic departments) and freight forwarders to work together on different kinds of freight. From urgent ad-hoc shipment to tenders with a 1-year validity, from invoicing and compliance to reporting & analytics. We offer the full suite, and our partners rely on us in their day-to-day operations.
This new team of infrastructure & integration specialists will provide the other teams with targeted APIs focused on specific tasks. We’re seeking engineers with a strong technical background in Python programming and experience in designing APIs to drive integration with logistic service providers, ERPs, and other parties but who are also flexible in finding other solutions when the ‘perfect’ API solution is not available.
If you are an experienced back-end developer and have an affinity with data? Do you know what it takes to write clean and scalable code? We are looking for people with a strong computer science or software engineering background. And regardless of whether you're just out of school or have been doing this work for 30 years, you are excited about creating great products.
Responsibilities

• 
  
• Develop API integrations with logistic service providers and other parties
• Setup a web scraping framework to also get data when APIs are not available
• Interface directly with third-party technical teams, serving as their primary technical point of contact during integrations
• Have a strong sense of project ownership
• Peer review, refactor and optimize the codebase

Job Requirements

• 
  
• You have at least three years of working experience, preferably in a similar role
• Advanced knowledge of Python
• Familiarity with TDD development
• Experience working with industry-standard OpenAPI specification
• Critical thinking and problem solver
