Immediate Interior Designer

Scope

Primary responsibilities include but not limited to:





Pre-design


Meet clients to define scope, Look & Feel & Project timeline


Design Development


Develop detailed AutoCAD plans, RCP, millwork drawings & 3D SketchUp / Enscape visuals Development and presentation of all perspectives, schematic, construction drawings and design solutions that are aligned to intent and are based on established project criteria, program and budget Select materials, colours, fixtures and furniture


Documentation


Coordinate with technical support team to produce tender package Assist in reviewing detailed design documentation including floor plans, elevations, sections and detailing. Included are electrical details, schedules (finish, plumbing, door, fixture), furniture floor plans, FF&E specifications, materials and finishes to determine compliance in areas of quality, code and design Assist to generate FF&E and architectural finish specifications for documentation, review and approve FF&E purchase orders, coordinate final placement of FF&E installation with all parties involved and maintain FF&E budget for all phases of the project interiors


Project Management


Attend site meetings, coordinate with contractors, carpenters & vendors Focus on service delivery while monitoring the status of assigned project tasks against the project schedule.
Post Project


Maintain client relations for repeat business& referrals


General


Work is accurate/ aligned/ completed to client's brief Proposed materials, design and FFE that are within project budget Attend meetings/ site inspection(s) for quality and conformation to design & material specifications (where applicable) Propose solutions to resolve design, scheduling-delivery, budget, quality, servicing issues Space planning Serve as principal contact for purchasing agent and FF&E vendors while working with them to select design elements that are to be specified and establish all required information for documentation * Co-ordinate with clients/contractors/suppliers to ensure promptness of tasks/projects; Resolve any issues with clients/contractors/suppliers
