Job summary

This position reports to the Head of AML Compliance and provides AML/CFT and sanctions advice and support to the Private Banking business in Singapore and the international clientele of the Singapore Branch under the supervision of the Head of Compliance and Head of AML Compliance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to support the below tasks, but not limited to: -

Reviews and assesses AML/CFT and sanctions risks for establishment of new relationships with clients, EAMs or business introducers.

Reviews existing clients\' accounts on ongoing and periodic basis or upon occurrence of a trigger event.

Conducts, monitors, reviews or investigates clients\' account activities and files a Suspicious Transaction Report when directed by Head of Compliance.

Reviews alerts generated from the clients and payment screening tools.

Assumes any other appropriate tasks assigned by Head of AML Compliance, Head of Client Onboarding team or Head of Client Review and Monitoring.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

We are looking for an intern to join us from July 2023 onwards, for a minimum of 6 months commitment.

Please note that this is an internship that may require you to defer from university studies for the period of the assignment. Students who can commit full-time will be preferred.

• Tertiary or Graduate student pursuing a Bachelor Degree in relevant studies;
• be a strong team player;

• be able to collaborate with stakeholders from the business units;
• have good research, investigative and analytical skills, and attention to details possess mental toughness and be committed to quality work;

• have good organizational, multi-tasking and prioritization skills;
• be a self-motivated, self-initiated creative problem-solver who enjoys working in a bank environment.
• Must have legal authorization to work in Singapore and do not require sponsorship for employment visa during the period of internship
