Job Summary

The Intern - Cybersecurity Operations & Communications provides the support in the development and implementation of communication strategies related to cybersecurity initiatives. He/she will be involved in creating clear and engaging content for various audiences, assisting in the execution of security awareness programs, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders (Technology Office, communications etc.) to effectively convey complex technical information.


He/she will support in the development and delivery of engaging communication materials and foster a cybersecurity awareness and compliance culture within our organization.


He/she will be involved in planning and coordinating regular cybersecurity assessments, brainstorming and executing realistic phishing exercises, and working closely with cybersecurity experts to improve awareness within the company. You will also assist with the planning and design of infrastructure systems, develop and maintain security automation tools, and contribute to the development of cybersecurity dashboards for real-time monitoring.


As an Intern, he/she will also be involved in analyzing past cyber-attacks, collecting and analyzing security logs to identify suspicious activities and trends, and supporting the creation of visualization tools for cybersecurity analytics. He/she will research and implement AI/ML models for anomaly detection, use AI-driven threat intelligence tools to identify and mitigate cybersecurity risks, and assist in identifying cybersecurity gaps through AI-driven risk assessments.


He/she is also expected to coordinate closely with internal and external stakeholders and possess exceptional communication skills, have a general understanding of cybersecurity principles, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and concise messages. He/she has the passion for cybersecurity and communications, with a strong desire to learn and grow in a dynamic environment.

Job Responsibilities/Key Tasks(External)

Support Cybersecurity Communication Strategies

Develop and implement communication plans for cybersecurity initiatives. Maintain consistency in messaging and branding. Create and maintain cybersecurity communication policies and procedures.

Assist in Cybersecurity Awareness Programs

Design and implement cybersecurity awareness programs. Plan and execute awareness campaigns across various platforms. Create engaging content for training materials. Measure the effectiveness of awareness programs. Work with vendors to produce security awareness EDMs.

Content Creation and Distribution

Draft and distribute communications on cybersecurity topics. Develop content for internal and external channels. Translate technical jargon into user-friendly language. Stay updated with cybersecurity trends and regulations.

Cyber Security Awareness Assessment

Plan and coordinate regular assessments. Create and execute phishing exercises. Work with experts to improve awareness.

Support Infrastructure Planning and Design

Assist in planning and designing infrastructure systems. Document design and planning activities.

Software Development for Cybersecurity Operations

Develop and maintain security automation tools. Write scripts to streamline threat detection and response. Improve existing cybersecurity software solutions. Develop cybersecurity dashboards for real-time monitoring.

Data Analytics for Cybersecurity Operations

Analyze past cyber-attacks and threat intelligence. Collect and analyze security logs. Create visualization tools for cybersecurity analytics.

AI for Automation and Gaps Analysis

Implement AI/ML models for anomaly detection. Use AI-driven tools for threat intelligence and risk assessments. Identify cybersecurity gaps and implement predictive analytics.

Cybersecurity Operations and Support

Participate in security assessments and penetration activities. Stay updated on emerging threats and AI-driven solutions. Document findings and recommendations.

Undertake any assigned projects or duties directed by Management.

Job Requirements

Proficient in MS Office Applications / Microsoft Power Platform Applications and social media platforms Basic knowledge of graphic design tools Positive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accuracy and consistency in all communications. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically about security threats Self-motivated and proactive, with a demonstrated ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Professional Qualifications & Relevant Experience

Currently pursuing Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Security, Data Science or a related field * 0-2 years of experience in cybersecurity roles
