Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the team in understanding Ensign's business domain and contribute to the development of data solutions that meet internal and customer needs.
- Assist in the design, development, and testing of data transformation processes and ETL pipelines under supervision.
- Help maintain and monitor data lake, data warehouse, and database environments.
- Participate in the deployment and support of data processing workflows, including debugging and troubleshooting.
- Learn to handle big data, focusing on data quality and consistency.
- Assist in managing development and staging environments to support project functionality and stability.
- Contribute to documentation efforts and follow best practices for software development and data management.
- Gain exposure to cloud services, containerization, and version control tools.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python scripting.
- Interest in data engineering concepts such as ETL, data pipelines, and data storage.
- Prior exposure to Scala, Go and/or Spark is an added advantage.
- Detail-oriented, eager to learn, and able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
