QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Working experience: previously conducted internship in hospitality (preferable F&B)
  • Education level: Currently attending an internationally recognized hospitality university
  • Language skills: Excellent command of written and spoken English
  • Computer skills: Well versed in Windows, Microsoft Office (in particular PowerPoint) and web browsing tools. Knowledge of drawing software, such as Google Sketchup or similar, preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills
  • Customer interactions: Must have excellent interpersonal skills to deal effectively with business contacts. Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance
  • Teamwork: Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team
  • Flexible schedule: May be required, occasionally, to work and travel during weekends and holidays
  • Other requirements:
  • Keen interest in food and beverage
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and floorplans
  • Ambitious, highly motivated and with ability to thrive in a multi-tasking, fast-paced environment and a high degree of accountability
GENERAL DUTIES
  • Conducts online research in F&B trends, culinary, beverage, restaurant and bar concepts, architecture and interior design
  • Conceptual design - Prepares presentations, concept decks and other related visual aids, such as mood boards
  • Develops, writes and/or supports the writing of the F&B concepts for new hotels and F&B areas
  • Supplies creative input on hotel projects and divisional initiatives
  • Assist with designing, drafting and sketching blueprints related to F&B operations
  • Assist with reviewing layouts, floorplans and workflows, front and back-of-house
  • Assist in reviewing furniture/FF&E prototypes
  • Attends design coordination meetings as requested
  • Communicates and coordinate with different internal departments
  • Liaises and follow-up with GDAP Project Directors as requested, to ensure positive and timely outcome of projects
  • Assists in preparing photo reports, executive summaries and property improvement plans (PIP) for hotels inspected
  • Handles any administrative tasks, ad-hoc assignments and miscellaneous projects as requested

OTHER DUTIES
  • Ensures high standards of personal presentation and grooming
  • Maintains strong, professional relationship with the relevant representatives from competitor hotels, business partners and other organizations
  • Responds to changes in the Food and Beverage function as dictated by the industry, company and hotels
  • Attends training sessions and meetings as and when required
  • Able to travel and attend business trips outside of Singapore if required
  • Carries out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned
