Our vaccines facility at Tuas is a key manufacturing site withinour global network supplying the active ingredients used to make multiplepediatric vaccines. Tuas site was officially opened in 2009. To date, the site has played a key role in producing more than 800 million vaccines for pneumococcal diseases. Tuas has a workforce of more than 415 employees.
We are expanding operations at our Tuas site adding new exciting products to our production capabilities and becoming an even more significant part of GSK\xe2\x80\x99s worldwide vaccines supply chain. We are looking for motivated individuals to join us in uniting science, technology and talent to get ahead of disease together.
What will you do?
Manage administration of all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS)-related Training including materials and schedule
Provide EHS support to the site and provide accurate and where necessary, consistent professional advice that enables them to manage and improve their EHS performance
Work with Operations to ensure Workplace Risk Assessments are suitable, sufficient, meets necessary standard and updated
Reinforce and promote improvements to the site\xe2\x80\x99s safety culture
Conduct office and site inspections, support problem solving, root cause analyses, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions to rectify issues within agreed timelines
Assist in areas with inspections to get a consistent approach across site, coaching site-based representatives in EHS, increasing their EHS capabilities, and competence to effectively manage the environment
Providing administration support to the team and supporting the Site EHS Lead
Collate data for presentation and escalation at Site EHS Council and EHS Committee
What are we looking for?
Educational background \xe2\x80\x93 Undergraduate studying Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Engineering preferably in Process Engineering /Environmental Engineering/Health and Safety related course who is interested in learning more about a manufacturing environment and vaccines
Knowledge in technical EHS would be advantageous
Proficient in use of IT and software/systems, ideally document management and database systems
Strong written and oral communications skills
Deadline-driven, flexible with self-reliance to work in an empowered environment
Awareness and ability to work within culturally diverse teams
Demonstrated ability to take initiative, think and work independently, and problem-solve
Strong drive for performance and attention to details
A passion for knowledge
