Within the Markets function, the Equity Derivatives team is responsible for growing existing exchange-listed financial derivatives contracts revenue, liquidity and market share, as well as identifying and pursing opportunities to develop new revenue lines. The team is the revenue owner of SGX's flagship equity index derivatives business which covers well known products such as the Nikkei 225, Nifty 50, FTSE China A50, FTSE Taiwan, and MSCI Singapore futures contracts. Collectively, these represent a multi-million dollar business line for SGX.Key takeaways from the internship
The selected intern will learn about the market structure and mechanics of our suite of equity derivatives through developing a strong understanding of the business drivers and requirements.
As an intern he/she is expected to work alongside market professionals, learning the skills and knowledge necessary to become an integral member of our product management team and acquire hands-on experience in supporting the launch of new products during the internship period.

• Perform market sizing, market trend, and competitive research and analysis through the collation of data from public sources and data services like Bloomberg and Refinitiv.
• Create, maintain, and send internal management reports and presentations on product volumes, market share, profitability, client activity etc.
• Generate in-depth product-specific market research and marketing materials to educate sophisticated customers and drive trading activity.
• Assist in the launch of new listed equity derivatives products, across the entire exchange value-chain including business development, legal, compliance, regulatory, operations, technology etc.

• Knowledge of macroeconomics, financial markets and derivative instruments.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and written and verbal communication skills in English
• Must be extremely detail oriented and meticulous
• Ability to multitask efficiently
• Must be proficient in MS Office - Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience in Big Data statistical analytics is an added advantage
