Data Services - Platform Analytics

Short overview on the Team

Platform Analytics team is within Data Services function. Platform Analytics team is responsible for internal data foundation for reporting and analysis in Global Markets Division. Analytics data is crucial to support business with data-driven insights and leverage data to inform business decisions.



This is a data analytics and engineering role in Platform Analytics. The selected intern will learn about SGX's suite of securities and derivatives products available on SGX, work with large amounts of data generated by the exchange's platforms, get involved in the enhancing analytics in the data mart.

Develop and maintain various dashboards, pipeline and ETL processes Research and build new analytics datasets and use cases Ensure data quality and accuracy Leverage proprietary and thirty-party data for market pulse monitoring Promote good data analytics practices - robust documentation and knowledge sharing

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

Data engineering and analytics skills in PythonProficiency in SQL Visualisation experience in Tableau Knowledge of data structure and database Good understanding of financial markets

Data Services - Market Data

Brief overview on the Team

Market Data team is within Data Services function. The selected intern will be part of will be tasked with different assignments to provide the intern an opportunity to broaden his/her learning different aspects of the Exchange business and more specifically in the market data domain.



This internship will provide learnings in business processes but will also include insights to product development and delivery cycle, sales and account management via proactive support of the team.

The following is the job profile and areas of focus for this internship:


Business process improvement Revamp / organize / housekeep client records Assist in automation of processes of business updates for more streamlined efficiency Generate Market Statistics report Any other tasks related to business process improvements Support of sales and account management Set up of client records Bring a fresh perspective to marketing collaterals Support to organize events Any other tasks related to the support of sales and account management activities Product development and delivery Assist in process of research and benchmarking of market data services and products Any other tasks related to the support of sales and account management activities

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

Good command of English Strong communication and analytical skills Proficient in MS Office applications, specifically in-depth knowledge of Power Pivot Python and SQL programming Creative but also detail and process oriented
