Business Partnering and Investor RelationsBrief Overview:The BPIR unit drives purposeful collaborations with internal business and external stakeholders. Building on our understanding of business intelligence and investors\' expectations, the team provides relevant insights to enable internal stakeholders to make better business decisions. As part of our front-line role, we actively engage the investment community to equip shareholders, investors, and analysts with information of SGX\'s financial performance, growth drivers and strategic priorities to help in their investment decision-making.Learning Objectives:The intern will experience the financial reporting activities carried out in a publicly listed company, including the development of information that is required for management to make key business decisions. He/she will also gain a good understanding of the businesses operated by a stock and derivatives exchange group.:Improve upon the use of Microsoft Excel-based spreadsheets by helping to automate the extraction and consolidation of data from various sources. Examples include the preparation and automation of weekly and monthly financials, revenue and expense drivers, and P&L forecasts.Knowledge and Skills requirements:Programming languages: Excel Macro, SQL, Python are essential to help in the automation of data extraction and consolidation.Accounting background preferred.Ability to map and analyze business processes.
