xSQUARE is a Singapore based startup founded in 2018 as a subsidiary of the Goldbell Group. xSQUARE is optimizing and reshaping the warehousing scene by developing a suite of proprietary autonomous technologies for automated warehouse systems including AGVs, Command & Control, supply chain optimization. We are developing the best and smartest automation and robotic technologies for our customers.Roles & Responsibilities: The intern(s) will be attached to xSQUARE\xe2\x80\x99s R&D department for the development of automatic guided vehicle (AGV) for warehouses. The intern will be shadowing and assisting xSQUARE\'s engineers in their day to day work.Electrical and Electronics (EE)Conceptualising EE designs for AGV machine interface.Capture EE design in software.Build and test prototype.MechanicalEdit or design mounting brackets or housings for AGV sensors.Create 3D designs using CAD software.Generate drawings for manufacturing.Assemble and install completed designs.SoftwareWorking with Linux OS and ROS to support AGV test and development activities.Learning OpportunitiesDevelop and implement various AGV electronics and subsystemsDesign and install mechanical interface for sensors and various electronic subsystemsDiagnose forklift electronics system errors, inefficiencies and weaknesses to all manipulated subsystemsPrerequisitesPrincipal understanding of Lidar, 3D-camera and laser rangefindersCompetency in analyzing electrical drawings and electronic schematic designsCompetency in designing interface electronicsCompetency in Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) for mechanical interfacesExperience in prototyping (3D-printing, CAD systems)Strong team playerKnowledge of C++ and Python will be an advantageApplication InstructionsPlease apply for this position by submitting your resume and transcripts toKindly note that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
