Position Type Non-ManagementDUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIESThe intern will work for Marriott\'s Asia Pacific Excluding China (APEC) Human Resources Operations team based in the Singapore office to support in delivering HR related services, specifically on Talent Acquisition and Talent Management. The intern will also support talent and culture initiatives for Marriott International Luxury (MILUX) properties.The APEC Human Resources Operations team oversees the overall functions of Human Resources at the property level including HR programs, systems and practices in Marriott, APEC. The intern will report to the Talent Acquisition and Management Solutions (TAMS) team, supporting TAMS project management and initiatives/activities to drive operational HR excellence in properties across the region. As part of the team, the intern will also be fully involved in daily HR operational tasks. The intern will be able to work with diverse property leadership in operating and pre-opening hotels.Key responsibilities include:Support roll out of Talent Management initiatives including performance management, human capital planning and succession planning, policies and guidelines within APECSupport area champions in driving Talent Management initiatives in APECSupport General Managers and HR leaders to ensure Marriott\'s Talent Management programs, practices, systems and policies are in placed & executed on propertyHaving full oversight and provide guidance on Marriott\'s online HR system and database to maintain accuracy and adherence of our human capital processSupport the roll-out of talent and culture initiatives for MILUX properties including talent acquisition, talent management, and learning and developmentSupport internal HR communications on webinar sessions, developing manuals, creating presentations and generating reportsAnalyze data and metrics on to propose recommendations and drive project targetsSupport internal HR communications on webinar sessions, developing training resources, creating presentations and generating reportsAnalyze data and metrics on to propose recommendations and drive project targetsResearch the latest HR trends on sourcing and talent planning methods and technologyOrganize and participate in regional office associate eventsSupport Talent Acquisition and Talent Management team on various projects and assignments as assignedLEARNING OBJECTIVESUnderstand the hospitality industry and HR functions including Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Learning and DevelopmentDisplay professionalism in verbal and written communication with all stakeholdersAdapt communication style to collaborate with stakeholders from different APEC countries and culturesBuild strong relationships with co-workers, customers and management of stakeholdersBuild competency in Marriott recruitment and human capital systems and processesBuild competency in driving talent and culture initiatives for the MILUX portfolioOrganize and prioritize work efficientlyProblem-solving and project management skills to drive business outcomesApply classroom knowledge and observe opportunities to learn beyond the job scope and not limited to HR disciplineJOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESWe are looking for a university student who is passionate, committed and keen to establish a career in the Human Resources discipline with the following attributes:Ability to learn quickly and excel in a fast-paced and action-biased environmentDetailed-oriented, structured, and organizedExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent command of spoken and written EnglishProficient in Microsoft Office (especially MS Excel and MS PowerPoint)Excellent Analytical and Numeracy SkillsSome experience with PowerBI and PowerQuery preferredQUALIFICATION STANDARDEducation:Undergraduate in Human Resources, Social Sciences, Business Management, Economics or Marketing preferredRequirements:Singaporean, Singapore Permanent Resident Holder or valid student pass/work holiday passEligible for undergraduate in a Singapore registered university program / undergraduate or graduate of a university in Singapore, Australia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Switzerland, United Kingdom or the United States.Prepared to commit to a six months internshipGrooming:All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Marriott standards.Marriott International is the world\'s largest hotel company, with more brands, more hotels and more opportunities for associates to grow and succeed.
