As part of stewarding the City of Good vision for Singapore, Company of Good is a programme under the Corporate and Industry Partnership division that connects organisations to do good strategically, sustainably, and impactfully. Through its initiatives, like-minded organisations can learn, network, and collaborate for good. Since its inception in 2016, Company of Good has connected more than 2,000 organisations that do good in different forms. With the impetus towards Corporate Purpose, NVPC has announced a refreshed Company of Good strategy that is now offering an exciting opportunity to help cultivate a future where every organisation in Singapore is purpose-driven \xe2\x80\x93 striving to make a net positive impact on society, across environmental, human, social and economic dimensions. The candidate should share the belief that corporates can be a powerful force for societal good for Singapore.

Programme

The Industry Development team is responsible for driving and implementing national-level interventions to grow and strengthen the industry for corporates to drive purpose and do good, including the adoption of Corporate Purpose and demonstrating its impact across the 5 impact areas:- People, Society, Governance, Environment, and Economic. The Singapore Together Alliances for Action (AfA) are action-oriented, cross-sector collaborations on significant areas to build Singapore\xe2\x80\x99s future; these AfAs will develop and deliver solutions for our future. In this regard, NVPC launched the AfA on Corporate Purpose (AfA-CP) in 2021 to develop Corporate Purpose: A Framework and Blueprint for Businesses in Singapore. This AfA arose from Emerging Stronger Conversations (ESC) sessions organised by NVPC, where participants collectively envisioned a business ecosystem that supports and enables corporates to effectively align purpose and profit to become a force for good in Singapore. The framework will provide clarity and consensus regarding the key principles, practices, and indicators pertaining to corporate purpose while the blueprint will serve as a roadmap for companies to implement and track their progress as purpose-driven organisations.

Responsibilities

  • Primary role: To support the team in the development of partnerships with various industries and sectors to advocate and drive the adoption of corporate purpose.
  • Secondary role: To plan and organise key events involving diverse stakeholders, including closed-door dialogues with senior executives as well as public sector agencies.
  • Prepare pitch decks for sharing with external parties.
  • Any ad-hoc duties assigned from time to time in relation to Company of Good programmes.

Requirements

  • Min. Diploma level, but preference for Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in a relevant field, including Business Administration or Management/ Public Policy/ Social Science
  • Keen interest in working on topics related to CSR, ESG, and Sustainable Development
  • Interest in Ideation and facilitation
  • Possess experience in corporate sustainability and/or strategy (good to have)
