The annual A*STAR Corporate Internship Programme (A*CIP) provides interns insight into how A*STAR bridges the gap between academia and industry by translating R&D into economic and social outcomes.

The 2023 A*CIP is a ten-week programme from 8 May 2023 to 14 July 2023. Through the A*CIP, you will gain insight into how A*STAR supports, oversees, and coordinates public sector research and development in strategic areas as well as cultivate and exchange an extensive network of industry partners.

You may also have opportunities to interact with the A*STAR leadership and visit our A*STAR Research Institutes which carry out a spectrum of R&D activities, as ranging from knowledge creation, enabling capabilities, large scale programme to industry-oriented activities. We have several interesting projects under the 2023 A*CIP, and we welcome all who are interested to put in an application with us!

Project Title:
IP due diligence study for biomedical sciences and/or materials projects

Project Scope:
The intern will work with the Innovation & Enterprise Division to:

Conduct IP due diligence studies for identified projects using publicly available search engines and commercial databases.
Research findings on the overall filing trend and activities, main players, emerging trends and players, potential IP roadblocks and right to practice in the field of biomedical sciences and/or materials, such as nucleic acid therapeutics, small molecules and antibodies, and next generation batteries.

Project Requirements:

• Students pursuing a degree in Biotechnology, Bioengineering, Molecular and Cell biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry or Materials Science disciplines
• Analytical and Critical thinking capability
• Possess excellent written and presentation skills
