ABOUT THE ROLE

Hummingbird Bioscience is seeking an Intern to support the development of our in silico antibody design and engineering pipelines. The intern will be trained on basic structural biology and machine learning methods currently used in the field. The successful candidate will have a strong background in computer programming, with some experience in data analytics and machine learning.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Be part of a team to develop and implement novel in silico antibody design and engineering pipelines
• Write and/or refactor code to automate pipelines
• Create, test and maintain docker/singularity images
• Assist with in silico antibody engineering projects
• Stay up to date with relevant literature; implement and test new algorithms

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor\'s or Master\'s Program in Computer Science, Physics or related Science program
• Strong programming skills (Python preferred)
• Familiarity with command line interface
• Experience with high-performance computing and knowledge of containerization is preferred
• Working knowledge of Git is ideal
• Interest in protein structure and biochemistry
