ING in Asia Pacific

In Asia Pacific, ING offers wholesale banking across 11 markets, namely Australia, China, Hong Kong SAR, India, Indonesia, Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, and Vietnam.

ING offers both retail and wholesale banking services in Australia. ING\xe2\x80\x99s regional presence includes a stake in Bank of Beijing, China and a stake in TMBThanachart Bank in Thailand.

Singapore is the regional headquarters for ING\'s Wholesale Banking (WB) business in Asia, which includes all WB business lines such as Financial Markets, Strategic Products, Sectors, Lending and Transaction Services and other support functions.

What does the Network Sector Coverage (NSC)Team do in ING?

ING\xe2\x80\x99s NSC team is working with Asian subsidiaries of large corporate clients headquartered in Europe and Americas. We are present in 12 markets in Asia and coordinate the regional relationships with multi-national corporates (MNC\xe2\x80\x99s) out of Singapore with the support of local in-country coverage teams. With our deep understanding of how large MNC\xe2\x80\x99s operate we are able to support our clients with a broad range of products including trade finance, financing, financial markets and working capital solutions. Further, we entertain a strategic dialogue on trends and business drivers and ensure the coordinated coverage throughout the region.

Based in Singapore, the intern will work closely with the relationship managers and serve as a supporting role to the team in promoting business in Singapore and across Asia.

What would you be doing?

• Support the preparation of client meetings and presentations

• Assist the team in preparing business reports and portfolio analyses

• Conduct research on industries/prospects

• Ad hoc projects, including involvement in the roll out of ING\xe2\x80\x99s sustainability strategy in the region

What qualities and skills are we looking for?

We are looking for a passionate individual who meets the following criteria:

• Current Honours Degree student at a reputable university

• Affinity to financial services; Prior work experience in financial services will be an advantage

• Hands-on and can do mentality with strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to handle pressure and tight deadlines

• Highly proficient in EXCEL, PowerPoint.

• Self-motivated and confident with a high degree of initiative

• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
