As an NPI (New Product Introduction) Intern, your job responsibilities will primarily revolve around supporting the transition of new products into manufacturing processes.Essential Responsibilities:Technical Problem Solving: Assist in resolving technical issues related to new products within the manufacturing environment. This could involve troubleshooting production-related problems, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.Process Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to enhance manufacturing processes and reduce costs during the estimation of product costs. This may include analyzing existing processes, proposing modifications, and implementing improvements to optimize efficiency.Technical Support and Documentation: Provide support in handling technical inquiries, deviations from standard procedures, and anomalies in publications related to new products. Ensure that documentation accurately reflects manufacturing processes and procedures.Evaluation of Technical Instructions: Assess the impact of technical instructions on shop activities, equipment, and tooling facilities. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to plan improvements and acquire necessary resources to support new product manufacturing.Process and Tooling Improvement: Support analysis and implementation of process and cycle improvements, as well as tooling, equipment, and facility enhancements aimed at increasing productivity and reducing costs.Routing Development: Develop production routings for new parts, determining suitable workstations, operations, and processes while maintaining workload balance and efficiency.Tooling and Equipment Specification: Define specifications for tooling, equipment, and machinery required for the industrialization of new products based on technical drawings and other reference documents.In-sourcing Projects: Assist in in-sourcing projects aimed at transferring workload hours into the company\'s manufacturing operations. This involves coordinating efforts to streamline processes and optimize resource utilization.Throughout these responsibilities, it\'s important to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, production, quality assurance, and procurement to ensure successful implementation of new products into manufacturing.
