Project Title: Virtual Metrology Development Internship

Description: Virtual metrology involves estimating a product\'s quality directly from production process data without physically measuring it allowing cycle time gain & manufacturing efficiency improvements. Interns will get practical experience on the application of feature selection pipelines as well as developing machine learning models to implement virtual metrology for phase 2 steps in etch.

Scope: In this project, interns will learn

- Application of feature engineering pipelines for appropriate feature selection

- Application of machine learning algorithms on production data

- Implementation of Virtual Metrology models in existing framework upon meeting model criteria

- Debugging & development using tools such as python

Deliverable: Development of virtual metrology models for atleast 3 steps for phase 2.

Impact of Project: Cycle time gain, cost savings & efficiency gains.

Skillsets: Machine Learning algorithms, data structures, feature engineering, data analytics.

Course of interest: Data Science, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science
