• Candidate must be currently enrolled in a university or hotel school degree program at time of application.
• University or Hotel School undergraduates specializing and studying in hospitality related fields will be preferred for certain internship positions.
• For more specialist disciplines, for example those students pursuing business or similar related courses, consideration is also given for those related internship opportunities.

PREFERRED SKILLS + ATTRIBUTES

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work in group settings and/or independently.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task several projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES + REQUIREMENTSThe intern will work for Marriott International\'s Rooms Operations team. Key responsibilities include:

• Project Development: Participate in high-level project development meetings with our leadership team. Contribute fresh perspectives and valuable input to drive forward rooms operations-related initiatives.
• Project Management: Assist in the launch and management of key projects, ensuring they are executed efficiently and effectively.
• Market Research: Conduct in-depth market research on the latest trends and performance metrics in Rooms Discipline. Provide insights that will help the team stay competitive and innovative.
• Data Analysis: Consolidate operational data, support the analysis of findings, and present actionable insights to drive continuous improvement.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with hotel leaders to gather information and feedback, ensuring projects are completed successfully in a timely manner.

LEARNING OBJECTIVESThis internship presents interns with the opportunity to identify emerging hospitality trends and actively engage in rooms operations-related projects. Interns will play a pivotal role in the ideation, conceptualization, and launch of initiatives aimed at optimizing the efficiency and effectiveness of rooms operations within a world-class hospitality company.Moreover, interns will actively utilize data to analyze problems and provide data-driven strategies. Through active participation in these projects, interns will gain invaluable insights and skills essential for thriving in the hospitality industry.
