You will be part of the Digital Platform Engineering team, where you will deliver cutting-edge software solutions on the Cloud that enable scientists around the world to advance their research in life science industry. What will you do You will be part of a SCRUM team and work alongside a few experienced software engineers. You will apply your analytical skills, programming skills and knowledge of Software Engineering and data structures to deliver world-class software solutions on the Cloud. You will get the exposure and hands-on opportunity to work on both the backend and front-end and gain the knowledge and expertise towards becoming a full stack developer. You will: Code and test the Cloud solutions Develop user interface screens, while following the approved design patterns and coding guidelines. Design and develop automation tests that ensure that the web applications meet strict expectations. Develop back-end API's that interact with the database or with other services. Be involved in discussions and suggest improvements. Quickly understand and adapt to the software development process and tools used. Quickly understand and gain the knowledge to work with various AWS services. Demonstrate and explain your work to teams from across the globe. Collaborate closely with the team in Singapore and adapt to the work culture quickly. How will you get here Education Students currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science Experience Work or project experience in software development. Programming experience is a must. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Familiarity with Java and relational databases. Familiarity with web front end development. Familiarity with Amazon Web Services would be a plus. Good communication skills and able to work independently and as part of team. Learning outcomes: Industry experience of complete life cycle of software development, and SCRUM process Advancement in programming skills in Java, Angular JS. Exposure and experience to microservices, docker containers, Amazon Web Services Experience with DevOps tools - Jira, Git, CI/CD Experience using test automation tools Exposure to software architecture and design patterns
